


Taking advantage of a unique opportunity to research a southern architectural style, the highlights of the southern design includes a stacked porch, colorful standing seam metal roof, and high first floor ceilings to allow windows with transom glass above. Isle of Palms is a well known beach vacation destination about a 30 minute drive from Charleston, South Carolina. The empty lot was within walking distance from the beach and once purchased, the owner intended to subdivide, develop both parcels and sell. To compete with neighboring development, he required the design include a raised house with two-car garage, elevator, rear deck with pool, M.I.L. suite and three bedrooms, two baths and laundry above on the second floor.
